The hostess can provide snacks and refreshments, but it’s not mandatory. Siblings are welcome! This is a great way to get to know the other moms and their children.

Mom’s Night Out (MNO) – This event usually occurs once a month. The children have fun with someone else while Mom gets some much needed time out with the girls. Some past examples include: dinner, movies, manicures, skiing, game night, painting, and much more.

Made By Me – We get the kids together for fun and creative crafts. It’s a great time for the kids to use their skills and make a masterpiece. The craft is often geared towards either the time of year or an upcoming holiday.

Coffee Hour – These are a great opportunity to meet more moms and get to know each other better. We have periodic coffee hours either at a member’s home or at one of our local coffee shops.

Helping Hands – We have a coordinator who sends a message out when someone in the group has a baby, experiences an illness or injury, or has a need. The coordinator asks for volunteers to make meals and deliver them to the family. It is a great way to support one another through stressful periods.

Potluck – Our potlucks are another great way to connect with other group members.  The ladies get some adult conversation over lunch while the little ones have fun with some friends. Additionally, a few times of year we have potlucks specifically to welcome our new members and help them get to know the rest of the group.

Walking Group – Weather permitting, we meet at an area park or the battlefield for a monthly walk. Strollers and toddlers are welcome! It is a good way to get out of the house and get moving.

Tot/School Age Explorers – Our area has many places to go and things to do. We take advantage of this with expeditions to new places. This provides the kids (and moms) with a break from the routine and helps us find new favorite places to have fun! Throughout the year our Tot Explorers visit many locations and our School Age Explorers keep those opportunities rolling for our bigger kids during school breaks.

10-21-2014Story Time – These are typically scheduled one to two times a month. We meet at an area library’s regularly scheduled story time with a few familiar faces. The kids love hearing the stories and sometimes they even get to make a craft! It’s a great way to get your children interested in reading.

Community Service Projects – The group participates in various community service projects throughout the year. Past examples include projects to support our communities, Big Brothers / Big Sisters, helping local families in need, and more.

Secret Moms – You can choose to participate in this fun program where you get matched up with another Mom and during the next 6 months you secretly send her a few small gifts and encouraging notes (while of course receiving the same for yourself from YOUR secret Mom). At the end of the 6 months, there is a small get-together where all of the secret Moms are revealed. It is great way to meet some new people and find common interests!

Circle of Moms – Our Circle of Moms group meets monthly to provide a place to share the joys and challenges freely with other moms. Each month a relevant article on a chosen theme is discussed followed by facilitated open sharing time.

Other Activities – – There are many more activities throughout the year. We visit local attractions, participate in seasonal activities, go bowling, do some shopping, get our bodies moving at the gym or pool, attend plays, and so much more!
