I came upon MSMAC when my first child was 4 months old. I often think how much I would’ve loved to have the support, knowledge, and friendship that the MSMAC women provided in those first months of life with a newborn. I’ve heard many others share this same sentiment. Maybe you know someone expecting a child who could benefit from Helping Hands, baby-friendly events, or the MSMAC member forum on Facebook to ask questions or seek guidance. A $10 gift certificate would make a lovely baby shower gift!
One of the most common responses to “Why join MSMAC?” is one I share with many others….I’m not from around here. I came to Adams County, PA shortly before I had any children. Once I decided to be a stay-at-home-mom, I found myself in a kind of isolation because the few friends I had made didn’t have kids. “Where does a transplant to the area go to meet other moms?” I wondered. After joining MSMAC, I found many wonderful women with whom I could share my parenting journey, as well as many children my son would soon develop friendships. Maybe you have a new neighbor or colleague with children who is looking for a way to meet friends and explore the family-friendly events that Adams County has to offer. Why not bring them a $10 gift certificate and a batch of cookies to say “Welcome to the area!”?
