Hello Beautiful Mamas!

It looks like the weather has taken it’s unavoidable turn towards winter.  I’m hoping that a few more nice days get thrown in here and there – before the real fun comes in 2017!
Thank you to each of you that completed our little survey.  We had 20 responses.  It was just a way to take a pulse on what type of group our members are looking for!  I want to share some of the results with you along with my thoughts:
-20% of responding members have not attended an event yet.  It seems that event hosting has slowed way down lately.  While our membership only asks us to commit to hosting 2 events a year, what makes this group great is having a robust calendar with a variety of activities!
-Weekday activities are more popular than weekend activities.  This does NOT mean we shouldn’t host events on the weekends – Personally, I enjoy seeing things on the calendar that I can attend with my family on the weekends, as well as fun weekday activities for me to do with just my little guy.  Evenings don’t seem too popular, but the occasional Moms Night Out is pretty important!! We are a diverse group of moms – working, stay-at-home, work-from-home, etc and we try to be supportive of everyone’s needs!
-Quite a few respondents are interested in some of our special interest groups! This is great! Here is the e-mail of who to contact if you are interested in more information or getting involved:

Monthly Coordinators seemed to have slowed down a little, so I will be reaching out in a separate e-mail.  If you have a new idea (someone mentioned Family Game Night – great idea!), let me know if you’d like to become a monthly coordinator! I know I have some ideas that I am excited to get going in 2017! Also, we have a few events that need a new coordinator, so look out of another e-mail!
-There was a question about the necessity of the hosting requirement (2 events a year).  We REALLY don’t want this to intimidate anyone.  Our goal is to be inclusive and supportive of each other as women and mothers.  Life can get so busy and challenging.  However, this group thrives on the dedication of its members to fill that nifty calendar! Remember that hosting an event can be as easy as meeting at the park or a coffee date! If you are more interested in a listing of events in the area, Macaroni Kid Gettysburg is a great public calendar of kids/family events.
-Someone asked about BUSINESS CARDS so they can spread the news to their friends and/or family about our group.  Wonderful!! I have attached a sheet that you are welcome to print, cut and share!
Overall, we got very positive feedback and I couldn’t be happier to be a part of this amazing community.  We have so much to offer to one another and I am THANKFUL!
I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving! Enjoy time with family, eat delicious food, and make your husband do the dishes!
Cheers!
-Sara H. 🙂
