Hi MSMAC Moms,

Welcome to August! Summer is flying by, and despite the obvious challenges, Moms Supporting Moms of Adams County has been busy. Our members have been doing a wonderful job finding creative ways to stay engaged while staying safe. We’ve continued to support our local community (many thanks to Sally for organizing another successful MSMAC fundraiser, and Esther for coordinating our support of the United Way Back to School Drive!), and the board has been working hard to keep our group organized and running smoothly. Here are some highlights from the last board meeting:

  • Edits to the handbook that update our advertising policy and add in a non-discrimination statement
  • Updated rules for our social media pages to ensure our pages are a safe space for all members to be themselves
  • A reorganization of our digital documents to make finding MSMAC related info easier- over the weekend you will be added to our new “MSMAC Member Documents” folder where you will be able to find the roster, meeting minutes, and more
  • Plans to continue our recruitment efforts while social distancing

Another item discussed at the July meeting is an excellent idea passed along from a MSMAC member. In order to better support one another, we’ll be putting together a document available to all members where you can find a listing of all member-owned businesses. Want to add your business info? Send the board your business name, product, website and email, and we will add it to our list!

The next MSMAC Board meeting will be held over Zoom on Thursday, August 6th at 9:30 A.M.. As always, all members are welcome to attend. Stay tuned for a meeting agenda and log in information. Would you like something added to our agenda? Email the board no later than Wednesday evening.

Sincerely,

Amanda M.

President, Moms Supporting Moms of Adams County
