The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Autumn is definitely the best time of year to live in Adams County. We are surrounded by so many farms and orchards, and it seems like every day there is a different harvest-season event going on. This month our members were able to take advantage of many of the wonderful local happenings of the season. We picked pumpkins and went on hay-rides, played outside in the crisp air, and probably found more kernels of corn smuggled home from corn boxes in boots and pockets than we’d like to admit.

Harvest season is a time of preparation, and MSMAC members have been busy preparing for the months ahead. November and December are our busiest months for philanthropy and fundraising, as we prepare for our annual holiday gift drive for local families in need. We are also thinking ahead and preparing for the doldrums of late winter, when we are all going to need events planned to get us and our kids out of the house. If you have been thinking of a great MSMAC event you’d like to host, but haven’t found the time for it yet, now is the time to start planning! Come February, we will need fun things to look forward to.

I hope that you all have been enjoying the season (and are staying safe and dry tonight!). Please don’t forget about our upcoming Panera fundraiser, Wednesday, November 6th from 4-8 P.M.. I hope to see you and your friends and family there!

Sincerely,

Amanda M.
